The extension of Newark on the land to the south of the town provides the opportunity to improve the local transport system for all modes of transport.

Newark Future will help deliver a new link road between the A1 and dualled A46 south of Newark. The new connection has widespread support and will help congestion in and around the town.

The new development will also require improvements to Newark’s public transport. Newark future will include improved bus links to the town centre and to Newark’s railway stations. Cyclists and pedestrians will benefit from attractive and safe routes around the new development and links to the wider area.
