Access to open space and sporting opportunities

Designers are currently looking at the possibility of creating a new community park on land to the south of Newark to complement proposed new sporting facilities. It is hoped that a country park would help to enhance biodiversity in the area, while providing a new recreation area for local people.

As indicated, the plans will also include a much-needed new sports provision for the local community, clubs and organisations.

Residential areas will also be served by a network of children’s equipped play areas.
