An Environmental Impact Assessment will accompany the planning application which will demonstrate how Newark Future can be accommodated successfully with its surroundings without causing harm to the environment. It covers everything from how residents will minimise and recycle their waste to where new wildlife habitats can be created. A Sustainability Statement will also be included which will detail how new buildings will be designed and constructed to reduce carbon emissions – and residents’ energy bills.
